rocking out at work

I\'ve looked for quite some time for a decent station that streams metal at a reasonable bitrate. This is mostly because I don\'t really like exporting my 80 gigs of music out over the internet. Finally found one. If you are into metal (death metal, thrash, progressive, whatever), check these guys out at http://www.godsforsakenradio.com. Go there. Listen. Enjoy.

Ustream Embeds Working

Tue, 28 Apr 2009 20:30:00 -0400 - Grinnz

Ustream appears to have gotten their API working again, with no need for changes on our end, so streampages using a Ustream show should be working fine again. In other news, we\'ve added an Options section on the account page for site preferences. Currently it only has a couple options dealing with the webchat but it is likely to be expanded in the future.

Ustream Embedding Broken

Thu, 23 Apr 2009 16:32:27 -0400 - ajanata

Ustream seems to have changed how their API works, which prevents us from getting the embed code for any Ustream streams. We\'ll look into it further this evening; in the mean time, only Justin.tv streams will embed properly.

SocialGamer Secure Server

Sun, 12 Apr 2009 16:50:43 -0400 - dho

We\'ve added a signed secure server certificate to our site. We\'ll be modifying the site soon to automatically log in over SSL, and we\'ll be extending some of our services to go over secure connections as well. This means that you don\'t have to worry about the safety of your password as it travels over the internet to our servers.

To use SocialGamer over a secure connection, simply connect to https://www.socialgamer.net instead of its pure http counterpart.

Enjoy!

April 10th Cancer Research Fundraiser

Thu, 02 Apr 2009 21:00:00 -0400 - xsiick

On April 10th, Matthew Scully and a friend of his are going to complete a marathon of 150 songs. Only few people have attempted a 150 song streak, but they may be the first to attempt without a single break. Why? There is a simple reason to all this.

Him and his friend are doing this to raise £500.00 (approx. $735 USD). This is all for a good cause, all the money they are raising is going straight to Cancer Research Center UK. Every single penny of what they raise goes there. You can donate any time all the way to September of 2009 here: http://www.justgiving.com/matthewscully

You can find Matthey Scully\'s streampage here on Socialgamer for when he begins his 150 song marathon. http://socialgamer.net/profile/Mattz0r/
